5 Essential Klaviyo Flows You Should Be Leveraging In Shopify
Work smarter, not harder, with these brilliant automations

We’re big fans of automation, and Klaviyo has some of the best email marketing options around. By setting their flows to engage potential buyers with segmented, targeted emails and SMS throughout the customer lifecycle, you can focus on what’s important: growing your business so that you can serve your customers even better. These are our five favourites that really make a difference to our Shopify and Shopify Plus clients:


Back in stock updates

What is it?

Customers can sign up to be notified when a product they’re interested in is back in stock. 

Why we love it

Your customer has already expressed interest in the particular product — they’ve willingly signed up! — so the conversion rate will be high, and it builds your email list at the same time.


Price drop trigger

What is it?

Customers are notified when a product they have expressed interest in (ie. viewed or added to their cart) has been marked down.

Why we love it

It’s a great way to increase order frequency. This trigger creates a sense of urgency, and customers are likely to order a product they’re interested in at a time they weren’t planning to put in an order.


Abandoned Cart

What is it?

Klaviyo’s most common flow, the Abandoned Cart script contacts your prospective customer if they walk away before checking out.

Why we love it

This reminder works to improve conversion rate in your store. It’s fully customizable, and you can focus on offering a discount, creating urgency with scarcity, providing social proof with testimonials, or providing more information on the brands or products they left in their cart. You’re getting a second chance to make a great impression!


Welcome Series

What is it?

Upon signing up, your prospective customer receives an automated series of emails that you can configure to talk about your brand and what content you will be sending them. There are options to send immediately when the brand is still fresh in the user’s mind, as well as follow-ups to keep it there.

Why we love it

With options like offering a discount to convert new users to customers, it makes customers feel like VIPs! (And, it’s very easy to use.)


Review Request 

What is it?

You can set up this flow to send customers an email at least three days (customizable for product/industry) after they have received their order, to ask for a review on a specific product. 

Why we love it

Reviews are a classic example of social proof, and this automation strikes while the iron’s hot!

Most review services integrate with Klaviyo, including stamped.io and yotpo, so it will probably work for you.
